HAPPY FIRST BIRTHDAY USCHI!!
We actually celebrated early because Daddy was going to be gone for awhile doing secret guy training.
But it was neat because Aunt Emily and Uncle Karl were there:
Aunt Betsey and Uncle Richard and cousins Nora and Calvin were there too:
Uschi misses them all a lot. She keeps telling me.
She has had lots of fun with Grandpa and Grandma though.
Claudia actually taught Uschi how to roll her arms today. So cute.
Some interesting things you may or may not know about little miss Sushi Pants.
*She has 11 teeth in her mouth, including three molars. She can eat almost anything we eat up to raw apples. Sometimes she gets greedy though and stuffs too much in her mouth.
*She LOVES people. Whenever we're out she will always chat and wave and smile at people. She is so social.
*She thinks she is hilarious. She always makes faces at me to get me to laugh and then she will laugh because she knows she's being funny.
*She can make the sign language for eat, milk, bed (as in to go to sleep), and phone. Some first words were "da da" "go go" (for the Go Dog Go! Book), and her most favorite is "this." You know how you teach kids words... "this is a toy, this is a doll." So whatever she is holding in her hands is a "this."
*Anything can be used as a phone. I especially like it when she uses pretzels for phones.
Anyway, Hooray for Uschi. We're really lucky to have her. I can't believe she's a 1 year old officially. I can't wait to see what happens next.
